Tartu-ngnanyin Bqoop Best Start Program:
This new program is about building bridges with non Koorie family services and keeping culture with the children and families in the City of Greater Dandenong and the City of Casey Koorie community. We create opportunities for Koorie families to connect with each other and the local services in and outside of the Coop. We take pleasure in joining families up with play groups because our program is all about children and families socializing and learning together.
Cultural field trips, camps, back to school events and other fun activities are all opportunities for Koorie families to connect with each other and the local services in and outside of the Coop that they might want to receive. We take pleasure in joining families up with play groups because our program is all about children and families socialising and learning together.
The focus of the Aboriginal Best Start Program is on babies from 0 to 8 years old to their childhood years. Our aim is to give opportunities to our families to share their pride and confidence in their culture and each other.
A highlight of our Aboriginal Best Start Program is our “Welcoming Baby to Country”. This special event celebrates the connection between our kids and our Country Elders – our Mother and is a beautiful occasion for all our families and their babies.
