- Vision and Values
- In June 2002, as part of the development of a Business Plan prepared by Mandala Consulting
- Services Pty Ltd in conjunction with the Directors and Staff of DDAC, the oranisational vision
- was stated to be:
- The Dandenong and District Aborigines Co-operative Ltd will strive for excellence in the provision
- of professional services to meet the needs of our community.
- DDAC currently aspires to be an organisation that is:
| • Unique | - in meeting and supporting the needs of Aboriginal people in the reigon |
| • Holistic | - in its approach to Aboriginal well-being |
| • Responsible | - in its operational delivery of services and support of the Aboriginal people in the reigon |
| • Best Practice | - in striving to deliver services and support for Aboriginal people in the reigon |
| • Inclusive | - in providing services, support and opportunity for Aboriginal people in the reigon |
| • Empowering | - in providing the opportunity for Aboriginal people in the reigon to take control of their lives with spirit, dignity and enhanced self-esteem |
- Action: As part of the implementaion of this Strategic Plan, the Board and staff of DDAC will review the current organisational vision.
- The current organisational values and behaviors are:
- 1. Client Focus - We work towards improving the health and well being of our clients and community
- 2. Professional Integrity - We treat people with dignity and respect
- 3. Quality Assurance - We always strive to do our best and improve our business acumen
- 4. Collaborative Relationships - We work together to achieve better results
- 5. Responsibility - We commit to the actions we take to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients
- As part of the development of this Strategic Plan, the Board and staff described the current values of the organisation as :
- Trustworthy Respectful Collaborative Comitted
- DDAC is an organisation that does not condone lateral violence
- Action: As part of the implementaion of this Strategic Plan, the Board and staff of DDAC will review the current organisational values and develop a set of behaviours that demonstrate 'values in action'.
