Community Nurse:

The community nurse is there for all people of all ages Indigenous or non-Indigenous.

Our aim is to make sure that our people have the best access to health services that we can provide because prevention is better than the cure! If a problem is detected early, treatment is usually much easier.

So when you come in to see the doctor here at our free Health Service our friendly Community Nurse will chat with you first and check your and your child’s health. We will take your blood pressure and details of your height, weight and pulse.

Then after you see the doctor, support you and refer you to other medical services as you may need them such as pathology and specialists.

If you would like to see our doctors and community nurse please contact the DDACL on 9794 5973.
We also send out information to our community people by post about our ‘health check days’. Our service is friendly for you and your family so please do drop in anytime to see us!
