Local Aboriginal Justice Work:

We are here to assist people who have community based orders or outstanding fines or warrants. Even if you think you may have an outstanding warrant or fine you can talk to us so we can find out what’s happening and try to find a solution that best works for you.

The best thing about this program is that we can often help to resolve these issues before the Sheriff knocks on your door. The justice worker here at Dandenong Coop will listen to you and speaking on your behalf to community corrections, courts, police, sheriff’s office, Aboriginal Legal services and others.

Our aim is to have less Aboriginal people in the criminal justice system and to be an effective advocate and point of contact and communication between community people and the legal system justice system.
